At Villas El Morro we take care of your information. This notice explains who is responsible for your personal data, what we collect, what we use it for, who we may share it with and how you can exercise your rights, including the use of Google Analytics on this website.

Hotel Villas El Morro (“Villas El Morro”), located at Paseo del Morro Lote 4, Colonia El Almacén, C.P. 40880, Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (the “Law”).

2. Personal data we collect

Data you provide to us

When you contact us through WhatsApp, email, phone or social media, request a quote or make a reservation, we may collect:

• Your name and contact details (phone, WhatsApp and email).
• Arrival and departure dates, number of guests and the room or villa you are interested in.
• Guest names and the information you share with us to confirm the reservation, payment or, where applicable, invoicing.
• The content of your messages and your stay preferences.

We do not collect sensitive personal data through this website, and we ask you not to send it through our contact channels.

The quote form on this website does not send your data to our servers: it only prepares a message that opens in WhatsApp so that you can review and send it yourself. Once sent, the message travels through WhatsApp and is also governed by that service’s terms and privacy notice.

Data collected automatically

When you browse the site, technical and usage data are collected through cookies and similar technologies, as explained in section 6.

3. Purposes of the processing

Necessary purposes

We use your data to: answer your inquiries and quote requests; check availability and rates; manage your reservation, payments, check-in and stay; provide support and follow-up during and after your visit; and comply with legal, tax and contractual obligations.

Purposes that are not necessary

In addition, and only if you do not object, we may use your contact details to: send you information about promotions, seasons and news from Villas El Morro; and run satisfaction surveys to improve our service.

If you do not want your data to be used for these additional purposes, you can tell us when you contact us or write to villaselmorroymercedes@gmail.com. Your refusal will not affect the service or support you request.

4. Data transfers

We do not sell or give away your personal data. We only share it when necessary to handle your request, with providers acting on our behalf (for example, messaging, email or payment-processing services), or when a competent authority requires it under the Law. Any other transfer that requires your consent will be notified to you beforehand.

5. Data rights, withdrawal of consent and limiting use

6. Cookies and tracking technologies (Google Analytics)

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service from Google, to understand statistically how the site is used and to improve it. This tool collects data such as:

• Pages and sections visited, and how you arrived at the site.
• Your approximate location (country and city), estimated from your IP address; according to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
• Device type, browser, operating system and language.
• Interactions with the site: clicks on WhatsApp, phone and email links, and submission of the quote form. We only record that the action took place, not the content of your message.

We do not use this data to identify you personally. Google Analytics uses the following cookies:

Other Google services on this site

To display typography, the site downloads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google may receive your IP address. When the location map is displayed, Google Maps may also receive your IP address and use cookies.

Theme preference

If you choose light or dark mode, your choice is saved only in your browser; it is not sent to any server.

How to turn off Google Analytics

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The option above only applies to the browser and device where you turn it on, and you will need to repeat it if you clear the site’s data.

7. Security measures

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction or unauthorized use. This site is served over a secure connection (HTTPS).

8. Minors

This website is not directed at minors. Data of minors travelling as guests is only collected through their parent or guardian.
